Homeland Security Threat Level: YELLOW (ELEVATED).
Disaster Declaration Activity
The Governor of Virginia is requesting a major disaster declaration resulting from wind, rain and flooding associated with Tropical Storm Ida during the period of November 11, 2009 and continuing. Specifically requested is Public Assistance for five counties, seven independent cities, and Hazard Mitigation statewide. (FEMA HQ)
